Job Title: Converged Technology Engineer

Job Description

 Converged Technologies Engineer/Technician

Responsibilities

*Technical and Engineering responsibilities including installation and service of traditional and VoIP telephony platforms including associated application platforms (unified communications, unified messaging, collaboration servers, etc)

*Design of complex voice and data solutions touching all layers of the OSI model

*Mentoring and training of peer technical staff on converged technologies

Desired Skills/Requirements

*Expert  level knowledge of traditional telephony technologies including but not limited to ISDN PRI, FXO, FXS, T1/E1 carrier voice and data services

*Associate level knowledge of key, PBX, hybrid and VoIP telephony platforms

*Associate level knowledge of network technologies including but not limited to LAN/WAN, routing, multi-layer switching, security, wireless

*High level troubleshooting and analytical skills; experience with packet analysis using Wireshark

*Associate level knowledge of network protocols and standards including but not limited to TCP/IP, IPv4, DHCP, SIP, FTP, STP, EIGRP, RIPv1, RIPv2, QoS (ToS/CoS), IPSEC, RTP,  802.1q/p, 802.11, 802.3, etc

*Associate level knowledge of I.T. infrastructure including but not limited to server hardware/software, workstation hardware/software, MS Windows OS platforms, Linux OS platforms, etc

*Cisco CCNA or equivalent work experience highly desired

*CompTIA CTP or equivalent work experience highly desired

*CompTIA A+ or equivalent work experience highly desired

*CompTIA Net+ or equivalent work experience highly desired

*Experience with NEC telephony and application platforms (SV8100, SV8300, SV8500) highly desired

*Experience with NEC Sphericall telephony and application platforms highly desired

*Experience with AVST Voice Mail and IVR platforms highly desired

*Experience with Digium telephony and application platforms highly desired

*Experience with network equipment from Cisco, Adtran, HP, Extreme highly desired

Job Title: Project Corrdinator
Status: Full Time

Description:

Job Description
A Project Coordinator has total responsibility for a project and its successful completion. To succeed in this responsibility the Project Coordinator will work closely with the project sponsor to ensure that adequate resources are applied. The Project Coordinator also has responsibility for planning and ensuring that the project is successfully completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
*Act as single point of contact for customer and Setel employees on all aspects of project.
*Execute scope of work and meeting all project deliverables on time and within budget.
*Manage change control and its impact on the project timeline and budget.
*Coordinate all project resources to meet deliverables in scope of work. This includes internal Setel employees and all contract labor acquired for project.
*Establish and maintain quality in project
*Identify project risks and establish contingency plans to minimize impacts on the project
*Manages customers transition from the installation department to support services offered by Setel's Service Department.
*Produce and maintain project documentation including performance reporting and job change orders.
*Collect database for input into new system
*Design and administer training for end users
*Close out all installation projects and managing all open issues till resolution.
*Manage the close out of all open tickets by resolving any issues that would prevent an installation ticket from being closed. This includes customer related issues and internal Setel issues.

Desired Skills/Requirements
*Successful Candidates should have a minimum of three years experience in the telecommunications industry.
*We require a positive attitude and sense of urgency, along with sufficient work ethic to achieve the desired results. Excellent oral and written communication skills, time management skills, team player, self-motivated, responsible and achievement motivated. Must be comfortable working with Business Owners and designing Telecommunication Systems to meet their Company's requirements.
*Our products and services are software based, and in some cases complex. Consequently, we require that you possess strong analytical ability. We value experience that you have (educational or practical) that demonstrates this skill.

*We also appreciate experience or achievement that demonstrates understanding and comfort with the following:
Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7
Windows 2003 Server, 2008 Server
Telecommunications technology
Data communications technology
Project Management experience
Understanding of LAN and/or WAN topologies
Experience training customers
A+ and Net + Certification a plus
